OT: Sad News about my uncle

I just found out tonight that my uncle, well great uncle technically, passed away today.  Last night when I said my prayers I asked God to comfort him and bring him peace, well he answered my prayers, and now my uncle is in a place of eternal peace and happiness.  The funeral is not until Thursday because there are several family members out of state, they lived in Illinois so the funeral will be there and then the burial will be on Saturday in Iowa where he and my aunt first lived.  My family and I are trying to decide what to do, my aunt said it would be fine if we just came to the burial on Saturday. I am thinking about possibly going to both and spending Friday with my sister since she lives near both places. I thank you all for the prayers you sent up for my uncle you are all truely wonderful friends and I am blessed by each and everyoneof you.  Love & Hugs, Nicole

Sorry to hear about your uncle, I hope it brings you comfort to know he is at peace now and no longer suffering.

Thank you Connie!  You are a wonderful friend!  Luckily I am here with my parents this weekend so I am able to talk through some of this with them as well.  He lived a good life and my mom and I spent some time reminiscing tonight.

Hard to believe right now but he is most likely in a better place and free of suffering
