I love coffee and coffee drinks. Starbucks is my place of choice, but Caribou seems to be more prolific around these parts. So because 'Bucks has the new Vivanno drinks, I decided to peruse Caribou's site, more for ****s and giggles than anything.

You guys are not going to believe this. It made my uterine cramps go bye-bye-bye.

Now I would never get these drinks as a post-op(and I'm not trying to make anyone salivate unneccesarily), although they do sound wonderful. I'm trying to make a point as to how bad some of these drinks really are... so with that being said, I bring you...

I am just in awe. Two words for you, folks. ANAL BLOWOUT. Two more words: INSTANT COMA.

The last drink alone has almost as many calories as I'd have in a DAY. ONE DRINK! OMG.

Caribou ought to be ashamed of themselves.

heyyyy don't dis on Caribou LOL

Starbucks is closing 27 stores here in MN....never cared for them so to me it's good riddance!!

Now I do love me some Caribou - and in all honesty - yes they probably could find substitue's for milk etc...which is high in carbs etc....and they do offer some SF options....

but they really have no control over the carb/sugar content of most of the items they use to make these wonderous drinks LOL

yes, I am defending my "bou LOLOL

I overheard the Starbucks' barista last weekend that two of the stores in Coon Rapids are closing, as is the one in Blaine on Radisson Road. As long as one stays, it's all good with me.

but they really have no control over the carb/sugar content of most of the items they use to make these wonderous drinks LOL

I beg to differ my friend... and I'll admit that Starbucks as well as all the other coffee joints could make better and healthier choices when it comes to sugar and carb content.

I really want coffee now. Dammnit.

well, since they don't milk the cows or create the syrups they use etc....so on...they really don't have control...

To be fair, I did say they can have SOME items that are Sugar Free etc...but let's be honest....most of the SF crap is just that  - crap!!!  They can't only offer items that are WLS friendly as the bulk of their customers don't really care 'bout that stuff....

It is a business and they can't offer any more than what people will order.....they do have some better choices on their menu....in case you didn't know :)

Regardless of where I go, I always tend to get either a hot or iced skim latte with either SF vanilla or caramel syrup. And if I'm feeling ambitious, I get it decaf. Although last night before the graveyard shift began I got an iced espresso @ Starbucks with an extra shot free! LOL I was a happy camper at work.

Considering that I am a Caribou fan, I can't say too much against them, hehe.. any coffee shop has drinks that will hit the top, such as Starbuck's Strawberries and Creme Frapp.

The Snickers ones look so tempting...but NO WAY for me... lol. :-)
