Quite the WEEK again
So the U had pumped up my band to just over 8. I am no longer convinced that the band is not able to work. It was just like my initial surgery as far as feeling hungry and how much I could eat. Beautiful...wasn't hungry at all. HOWEVER, whenever I fell asleep my throat would fill up with fluid and I would start gagging and coughing. I litterally had to sleep in a chair and couldn't even recline.
This is not an uncommon problem with bands that are too tight. They ask you that question prior to each adjustment. So today I had them remove a half cc of fluid. I still am maintaining the restriction but I won't know about sleeping until I give it a shot tonight. If I can sleep okay, then I will have reached my sweet spot. I've lost 10 lbs in the past week. I am now at the weight where I was before starting to gain again...in other words, I've lost ALL the weight I've regained after my first surgury. Now all my clothes fit again and I feel like I'm just starting. So, Steel Venom, you ARE MINE BABY. I'm not even stopping at the test chair. I'm going to ride once for each of the past few years where I didn't fit on it.
On another note, I got a letter today from LVPD. They told me I ranked 4, they are hiring 2 but they want me to be on their 18 month eligibility list. I'm not too sure I want it. I thought I was done...its frustrating. In the mean time, today I registered for an ADVANCED Flash class at North Hennepin, and I may have an opportunity to teach creating court exhibits in Flash with a national training company. (Something I would not be able to do if I worked at LVPD)...
So it's business as usual for now, with the scales moving AGAIN. Yeah. It's been a long, long road and the plateau from HELL.

good golly-that is wonderful. I hope you have found the sweet spot and it's all gravy (not!) from here on. Have a great sleep tonight dreaming of steel venom....as for the job thing, hey, you can always go on the list and still say NO if you change your mind!!
glad things are moving for you again Paul-I am going to Orchestra Hall tomorrow night or I would definitely be looking at going out for some BLUEGRASS!!

WOO HOO!! You found your sweet-spot! That is great. I'm so happy for you.
I agree, keep your name on the list with LVPD, and you can always decline it later if need be.
