My foot/ankle--Good news/Bad news

Elena~The last time I as in the 170's was my freshman year in high school when I was a 1200 calorie diet and walking 2-3 miles a day.  Needless to  say that didn't last too long as I became active in school activities and then soon fizzled out because of all of the snack foods in the house for my siblngs.  I was in a proram called TOPS which was okay for a while, but it was all older women so I felt very out of place there.  So, yes it has been a long, long time since I have seen the 170's (around 15 years)!

Thanks Lisa Joy!  I am excited to biking, I haven't been since I have lost all of my weight.  Luckily there is a really nice trail in my home town so I can go biking on that this weekend.  I would love to do triathalons, I would just need to get a swim coach cause I don't do so well in that are and from reading posts by others doing tri's that is the best way to go.  Who knows maybe in a year or two I'll do it, but it may have to wait till school is done so I have the time to dedicate to training.

I'm wondering if you've seen an orthopedic surgeon, too.  If your GP gave you the green light, it might be wise to get an opinion from an OS.  I've had GP's give me lots of bad information over the years, some of which I'm still paying for!

If you do the 5K - good luck and have fun!!

I am pretty confident in the Dr I saw because he specializes in Sprots Medicine so he sees these types of injuries quite frequently.  If it doesn't get better by the end of the month, then I promise to go see an OS.
