Thursday Coffee Talk

Good Thursday morning!  I slept late!  Late for me that is and it sure does feel good.  I think I slept better last night than I have in a LONG time.  I've been sleeping good, just waking up EARLY!  LOL  Sleeping in (6:45) sure feels great!

Our challenge for today is to help someone.  Lend a hand.  Reach out and help them at work, home, play, or if someone just needs an ear.  You'll never know how much that will mean to a person if you'll just help them.  You could even hold a door open for a total stranger.  Lending a hand is getting rare these days.  Too often we are thinking about ourselves.  I am afraid that today's society is getting the mentality that it is "All about me and looking out for me".  We need to think of others more and help where we are needed.  C'mon!  Join me in this challenge.  Let's make our EARTH a better place!

So!  What cha sipping on this morning?  Me?  I'm LOVING me some Maxwell House regular and it sure is good.  The flavored coffee is good, but sometimes it sure is good to enjoy the regular stuff.

Ya'll go out and have a WONDERFUL Thursday as you help someone!

Good Morning!  This post is a great reminder and I am actually in the middle of a project that I am doing for my grandma.  My grandma has stage 4 cancer and is going through chemo, but is having a really rough time in dealing with it all the pain, the idea of being sick and the possibility of death.  So, to help her through this tough time I have gotten a small wooden box and painted it her favorite color and the word "faith" on the top.  The I am printing off inspirational bible quotes and putting them on little cards to go in the box so that each day or several times during the day she can pull one out and read it to help give her strength to get through each day.  The idea for this came to me yesterday as I was pulling into the parking lot of a craft store and decided that I had to do it.  I agree that this world would be a much better place if we all put out egos aside and just helped one another.  I am sipping on some Natural Citrus Crystal Light Focus.

Thank you Connie.  I am going to go and spend the day with her on Saturday and hopefully cheer her up!  I may look into renting some old movies and pack up my dvd player and bring them over to her place (she can't figure out dvd/vcr's).

Randy,

Do you have E.S.P.???  Today I'm helping out Diane.....She needs to go in and get a scope done and needed someone to drive her. I'm also baking her a roast beef dinner with carrots & potatoes.

It's good to sleep in once in awhile. I know I'm usually up by 6:30am. But once in awhile I sleep in on the weekends till 8:00am.

Have a wonderful day...Kelly
