OT I think I found a place

Thanks all for the encouragement. I woke up this morning and felt more hopeful about my apartment search... I am an expert at it but just like shopping... I hate it. I can go for a few weeks and then I am so sick of search I just wnat to buy something and leave... or better yet, buy nothing!

Anyway, I found one in Maple Grove... kind of far away from work in St. Paul, but I'll live. It's a good price, has a gym, and the unit even has a gas fireplace. It's got a huge kitchen just like I want (because I am trying to teach myself to cook, lol).

So thanks all for the good thoughts. I think it helped.

Right behind Wal-mart. It's the new Arbor Glen complex. Well, it's not that new...7 years old...but still... new compared to some of the apartments that were built in the 70s.

So yeah... it's a big drive and hopefully I wont have to kick myself in the ass later for it, but I think I am going to do it... I need to sleep on it. The other problem is that my roommate just lost his job so he is quickly trying to find another one. So, crossing tons of fingers, lol.

Good luck it can be frustrating.  I thought looking for a house would be fun till I had to find one out of state in five days over a holiday weekend.  UGH!

Oh dear God! My mom has been looking for a home...... for the last 5-7 years! AHH! She has gone to probably several thousand open houses... She's insane.... persistent....but insane.

Yep, those company transfers don't let you mess around on their dime while you look for a house.  There were alot of people who wouldn't show their house because of the holiday and having family over etc. so the selection was narrowed before we even began.

Wow.... and I thought I had it hard. I guess in comparison, I have a lot of choices at least. :-)
