I feel stupid for getting my hopes up.

As some of you already know, I have been waiting to hear from my insurance if I qualify for surgery. I got a letter from Abbott yesterday that informed me that I still need to see my dietician 2 more times, I know I have seen her 6 times, but I guess they want more.....I'm bummed...whatever...blah...It's just such a damper on my day. 

I know it feels like you're doing it forever, but two more appoitments won't take long! Keep thinking of the end result. You can do it! Good Luck!

Well the good news is you weren't denied, just told what steps you need to take to be approved so you have every reason to continue to have your hopes up.  So keep on plugging away and before you know it you'll have all your ducks in a row!   Michelle :)

who is your insurance hun?  i seriously just went thru the same thing this week.  I was on liquid diet for 12 days and my surgery was scheduled for april 9th and medica called abbott on april 7th and said i needed to see dietician 3 more times within 3 months, i was just so upset that day!!!!  but keep your chin up because things happen for a reason.  abbott is amazing and now i am rescheduled for june 23rd and already had one appt april 8th and one for may and one for june 6th and then should be on my way.  but you only need two so yours should be quicker:)  don't be bummed it will hopefully go quick for you. kelli

I have blue cross blue shield (blueplus) of minnesota) My last dietican appt will be June 5th in Mankato. It seems so far away.

Hang in there dear!  I know how bumming the news can be but at least YOU WILL be having the surgery!!!  Keep your eye on the prize!  And remember "this isn't a race to see who can get there the faster but rather a journey we take one step at a time" Hugs!

It will happen you just have to be patient. They could have said you were denied. 2 more visit you can do it!

Just keep pushing. I was told I needed three months of consecutive appts... so I did one appt per month. Then they told me that apparently, three months means 4 appts... wha? Anyway, I had to do it. If you can get a sooner appt, do it. I kept calling back and looking for cancellations and kept pushing. You can do it!!

Keep your eye on the PRIZE sweetie....when the time is right it will happen. I know waiting is hard but just keep jumping through those hoops it will your turn soon. Hugs, connie d
