6 months and 100 pounds!

Well, tomorrow is my 6 month anniversary! I can hardly believe it's gone that fast! I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 100 lbs even! I'm so excited I'm running around bouncing up and down! Things have been going really well lately... the weightloss has picked back up from it's slump and I seem to be losing roughly 1 lb a day again... I haven't done that in over 3 months, so I'm taking advantage of it and working my booty off and making sure I get every lb out of the phase as possible. I've only got 55 more to goal. Funny 6 months ago 55 lbs may as well have been 500... now it seems almost like a cakewalk. I continue to be greatful everyday for this gift I have been given and for the wonderful family and friends I have made through this journey. I know without the support of my husband, sister, children and all of you wonderful wonderful people that I would not have gotten as far as I have so far nor would I be able to continue for as you all know it isn't always EASY. I'm reminded of something my mom used to say when she was sick "I never said it would be easy honey... I  said it would be worth it" I sure hope she can see me and that she's proud. I miss her everyday especially now... this is I feel my greatest accomplishment so far and I wish I could share it with her.  Tuesday is my surgery to remove my Gall Bladder... I'm a little nervous that it will slow the weightloss down again, but I know I'm in good hands with dr. Svendson and I intend to be up and walking just as soon as the anestetic wears off lol. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and I hear that it's supposed to warm up next week so we've got that to look forward to.  Hugs to you all Lisa

YAY!!!!! Great job! Keep it up!!! I second your feelings that it would have felt like walking through hell a year ago, but now, those last pounds to goal, really are attainable!!

You are truly amazing!!!

butter is an interesting comparison! I've got 4 kids.. the youngest weighs 57 lbs... then the next one is 75, then 100, then 120.... each time I reach one of thier weights I pick them up and carry them as long as I can do it just as a really BIG reminder of how much I've lost... it may sound silly but it puts a pretty deep impression in my brain to NEVER go back. And they think it's kinda cool too... We call it the carrying of the kids... and they get all excited.. tonight I'll carry Taylor.
