Sabrinna,

Thank you for your prayers.  I just went to your profile to check out your latest pics.  you look fabulous!!!!!  I read your blog too and I'm so sorry to hear that you recently lost two family members.  I'm so sorry for your loss and grateful that the RNY helped you to manage through the pain without depending on food.  you are doing so great and look terrific!

Tracey, I am so sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, but am glad to hear that they caught it early.  I will pray that you have a very talented and caring treatment staff and that you have a quick and eventless reovery.  I look forward to seeing you at the support group on the 23rd.  Take care!

OMG  Tracey - I'm just in shock!  Did you have any idea before you went to Italy?  I mean, my gosh!!!

First off, I will CERTAINLY pray for your cancer to be very treatable and beatable.  Also, for peace and everything else that will help you through this.  Good grief! Second, I might suggest you contact Barb J - there is a woman in our support group, I'm SURE you had been there when she attended at some point in the past year... I will leave it up to Barb to perhaps pass your number and/or email along to this woman, in the hopes she will contact you.  She seems very much like someone who would be more than willing to share her post-WLS breast cancer journey with you, to help support you through yours. Third, I am SOOOOO looking forward to seeing you on the 23rd!!!   If you have any inclination to meet before PNC for a bite or something, shoot me an email.  I'd be happy to take the afternoon off to spend it with you! Miss you and love you, Greg and Madi lots -

Darla,

You are looking so great, even with horsie doohkey on your jeans!  I had a routine mammogram before going to Italy.  While i was in the airport waiting to board my plane the hospital called and said they needed to do another mammogram because they saw something on the first one.  I went back for the second mammogram as soon as I returned from Italy, had a biopsy a few days later and found out I have cancer this past Tuesday.  I'm still stunned about the news and still getting used to the fact that I now have the fight of my life ahead of me.

I do remember the women from our support group.  I can see her face so clearly.  I can't remember her name for the life of me, but I have been forgetting a lot of things since I go this news. is Barb back at work?  I have her PNC email.

I hope I will still be able to make the trip later this month.  I'd love to see you!  Ill keep you posted on my plans since everything is up in the sir right now.

Take care,

Tracey

Tracy, I'm sorry to hear your news. I hope that all goes well and myabe you won't need chemotherapy. But just to let you know there are other medications/injections to treat the anemia if need be, and your oncologist can test you for this to find out what kind of medicine would best treat the anemia that you have. Thankfully you are young enough to have good insurance vs. Medicare because they are throwing a stink with these meds lately. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope to see you at PNC group. Take care adn try to take it one day at a time, it will get better when you get more answers and know exactly what your dealing with.
