Hugs needed!!
I will remember them and you in my prayers daily. Poor thing. It's so hard to be a teenager these days and then to add Nic's cancer on top of it...she has so much to bear. Just keep loving her and be careful with anti depressants. They put my daughter on them when she was 15 (she was diagnosed bipolar) and shortly afterward she began burning herself and her depression became worse. They say that can happen in teens.
Take care,
Debi
Thanks Debi.....we to are hoping and praying to stay away from the med route. Sometimes they do make things worse. Sometimes they help a great deal. We are watching Kyleigh closely. I think love and hugs and understanding and caring means the most.We are behind her 100%.
Thanks to for the prayers...we appreciate them so much!!

Connie I"m so sorry to read that your family is going through this. I know how exhausting it is. My oldest daughter Lauryn went through this two years ago... it was two years of constant hell. Between the prozac and therapy and her turning 16 life is finally back to normal. I will keep you all in my thoughts. Hang in there honey.

Yes maam she will... My granny always said that 16 seemed to be the magic number for girls to "get normal" so far with mine it proves true... in the meantime I can see that Kyleigh has a strong support system and thats good. Even when she lashes out at you and her mom (and she will) she knows that she can trust you to be there for her no matter what; which oddly is WHY she lashes out at the two of you. Hugs

Just remember these verses (and many more)
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
I always think of Job when I am going through any crisis. I will pray for you and your family. I hope things get better soon for your granddaughter.

Connie,
My heart just aches for you - you and your family are going through SO much right now - I can't imagine how you're handling it all. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Remember that at a time like this you have to take care of YOU - because otherwise you have nothing to give to your family. Make sure you're taking time to do something for yourself - whether it's just sitting and relaxing for aan hour or praying or reading a book - find something to get your mind off all the burdens in your life right now so you can start again fresh each day.
If there is ANYTHING that you need - please don't hestitate to ask. We all love you dearly and don't want to see you or your family go through this - so if there's a burden you can pass on, please do.
With heartfelt sympathy
Tracy
