Motrin after surgery....Debbie needs your help! :O( Please respond quickly...she is in...

Debbie just left the hospital in Mexico this morning and is waiting for her plane in San Diego now.  Her DS just called and asked me to post for her to ask you all if she can take motrin this soon after surgery.  She had her surgery on the Jan. 28th.  Tylenol does not help her pain?   Please respond soon as they are calling me back in 10 minutes!  Thanks so much! The surgeon didn't send her home with narcotic pain relief?? I would definately NOT try motrin this early, but I am not a doctor or nurse.... sorry!

NO NO NO NO NO..... Motrin is ibuprofen-it will irritate her pouch.  They better call the DR and have a prescription for a narcotic!

Thank you...she si on the phone with me at the air port in hurge pain.....oh man!  She had a lap band, but she also had a hernia repaired.  She thinks the pain is coming from the hernia. Thanks so much!  

I'm not 100% but I think that motrin is a no no it has Ibuprofen in it and that is not on the recommended list of drugs. Did they not prescribe her a pain killer. They gave me a liquid Percocet.

Maybe this is the down side of having surgery far from home.  Here is her plan.  I gave her the info. you all said, she kinda knew that, but was hoping you guys would have something that made it okay.  Anyway, she is going to have to be at the airport for 5 more hours.  She is going to see if they have a heating pad anywhere for her.  She said she feels like she's been stabbed with 100 knives.  :O(  She will get home at midnight and then has to drive to st. cloud.  :O(   Oh man!  She isn't a wimp either.   They gave her a shot of something this morning that worked for five hours, but did NOT send her home with anything.  ::O( Say prayers for comfort and finding a heating pad!  Maybe someone in sandiego is reading this and will save her.......wishing! 

Ohhh thats so scary being so far from home and kinda sent home without any... anything!  Ill pray for her... keep us updated Lisa you must just feel terrible being so far from her! Hugs

LJ I'm so sorry to hear Debbie is going through this. I will keep her in my good thoughts for a safe return and that somehow she can get some relief soon.

NO NO NO NO!!!   Im sure IM late but none of that stuff after surgery... but she did have lap band ... thats different cos she hasnt been filled yet...
