1 week post op

I am one week post op as of today.  I went to my 1 week appt. yesterday and was moved up to pureed foods.  YEAH!  What a choice for a first meal....Chili.  Not too bad pureed.   I went back to work yestrerday also.  I was so nice to be out of the house.  My mom thinks I am pushing it but I am feeling great and not on the pain meds since Saturday night.  Doc Kellogg said it was fine for me to go back.  Things looked great to him.  I was down 8 pounds since Friday.   I wish I had this done sooner.  But I am sure most say that too. Is everyone enjoying the cold?  I drive a schoolbus.....Imagine how I feel. Happy Wednesday!!!!

great to hear you are recovering quickly - take your time and relax. i was home 6 weeks and wi**** was longer but now it is not too bad. still tryig to get protein in so i have decided to try all the wonderful recipes from eggface's website, not to bad yet. take care and welcome to the looser bench

What a wonderful sounding update!! Congrats to you! While your mom may have a point about pushing yourself, only you know how you are feeling. Listen to your body and it'll tell you when you need to slow things down. Keep up the great work and welcome to "Loserville"!!!

I found that refried beans pureed with salsa was really good as well. I feel for you on the weather that has to be rough.

Brrr! I use drove a school bus back in my younger years. It is cold in the winter. I feel for ya. Congrats on advancing to pureed. It's like heaven every time you advance. Enjoy!  Take care, Lori
