Back on the 5 day and running in the Frozen 5k tomorrow!!

well I had a great vacation in Cabo but ate more carbs than I wanted like (Breads and a little chocolate) so I wanted to get back on track and went on the 5 day again Sunday when I got back. It is really impowering to do this again and I know that my pants have gotten looser which is a good thing. I went to the doctor yesterday and since I was there the first of November I have lost 11 lbs which is a good thing so go figure. Now down to my goal of 205. I have my 4 year check up with Dr I on the 9th of February so its hard to believe that it is been that long!. On another note tomorrow I will run in my 4th frozen 5k for the St Paul winter Carnival. Hopefully it will be a little warmer. Everyone have an a+ weekend Jim

Hi Jim Congrats on the 11 pounds!!!!  WOW.....4 years already. TIme sure flies when we're having fun huh?!?!? Did you find doing the test the second time was easier than the first, harder or the same? I've been wanting to do this but need to really get my head in the right place.....am dealing with a bit of stress right now. I've heard of the good results others have had and will give it a go here soon. Congrats on doing the Frozen 5K. I will pray that you get warmer weather than you guys have had. Good luck!! Hugs Peggy

Hi Peggy I found it to be a little harder this time for some reason especially the first two days. then after that it was no problem. I think one of the problems that I had is that I didn't drink enough water so that was a big problem I am pretty sure. the first time I drank tons of water and I think that keep me filled. So what I heard from your post is that you'll be missing Eagan coffee AGAIN this week???  Very cool that you're fit enough to run a 5k - but man, WE MISS YOU! Okay, okay, enough whining - congrats on the 11 lbs.  Good luck and stay warm on the run!  Good luck at the doctor - hope all your tests can confirm that you're a normal guy!  Have a fab weekend!

Thanks Pat! I did make it just barely. You can do the 5 day no problem. I just keep thinking about what I had to do right after surgery and it was easy for me to get throught the first few days which are the hardest. Let me know how it goes! Jim
