Fabulous Friday Wake-up

Mary -

Good theory.  Problem is that there's SO much homework that to get it all done I literally need to spend 3 straight days at my computer to even make a dent. And I'll need the couple hours after work each night to fill in the gaps for the rest of the list for this class.... plus there's plenty of assignments due for the other class that also need to get done. If I had to guess, I'd estimate I need about 40 hours worth of computer time to plow through the whole pile. So taking one full day away to hit the VFW is going to impact my ability to do it all.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

You do know that you need 4 hours of homework time per every 1 hr. of class room time.
right. Sounds like you over achievers syndrome and over booked yourself. Hope you can get it all in. You know what is most important to you.

That was my Motherly talk for the day.

Yay!  It's still morning!  Western is down for a nap.  Mom hasn't gotten up yet and I'm all showered!  WOO HOO!  Had some coffee this morning and shared some eggs and toast with Western.  Played a bunch since someone woke up a little after 5 this AM.  We don't have central air (elec. heat...no ducts), so our windows are open at night, until DH gets the window a/c in our room, so all the little outside noises woke him up this AM.  Guess I need to turn the "white noise" fan back on when DH gets up to get ready for work.

QOTD:  Going to the cardiologist today, with DH.  Mom is going to my sister's for the weekend this afternoon.  We'll finish opening the pool this afternoon.  Tomorrow, I'm taking Western to get some One year pics done.  My DH's cousin already took the outside, candid pics for us.  Tomorrow's are the cheesy, stand by the big numeral 1, cheap pics at Sears...LOL!  Have to have them!  Then we'll come home and finish getting ready for his big family birthday party on Sunday.  We're having Jet's pizza, salad, and a big cake that I'm having made for him with a water/beach/sand/fishing theme (goes with his water/sand table present).  Our 5 nephews, and my cousin's 3 kids are coming, plus our parents and siblings...about 30 all together!  Should be a fun day!  Monday is reserved for NOTHING!!!

I won't be doing any celebrating because it's the week before payday (I am broke!) and my 12 yo is in the youth pyschiatric ward so I have to wait to see what day if any she will be released.

Deborah-have you seen the movie "Best in Show"? I love it, one of my favorites when I need to laugh.

Tina, I hope your hubby gets a clean bill of health from the cardiologist.

QOTD-What are you going to do to celebrate the weekend? I actually have two backyard barbecues to go to on Sunday, both at the same time and 50 miles apart, so I am feeling pretty popular.

Good Afternoon everyone !!   I haven't been around this week.  Loads of work on my plate, not much time to post.  Hope you are all doing well.

QOTD - DH is in Florida with his mother all weekend, he left last Tuesday so he could be there for her Colonoscopy.  She is 86 and they don't like doing them to people at that age but she has had bowel issues since March so they needed to go in and see what was going on.  Everything went well and they did a tissue sample and found she had micro bacterial colitus.  So she is on Pepto Bismal for two weeks and if that doesn't help, then they will give her a prescription for something stronger.  They said Pepto will work 50% of the time so it is worth the try (cheaper and safer).  DH had made his ticket for a whole week, just in case he was needed there more then just for the test.  So he is down there doing Mom's honeydo list and I am on my own.  But believe me I have lots of stuff happening.  Today I went and bought my flowers for my gardens (probably won't get to plant them till Monday.  Tomorrow I ride my motorcycle up to Sandy Pines for a progressive dinner that we do every year. Oh, while I'm there I get to clean the trailer (haven't done that yet this spring)  Come home on Sunday morning then go on a Motorcycle Run in South Haven with some friends.  Monday, will be flowers.  DH will be home Tuesday afternoon.  Then he gets to start MY Honey do list....

Have a safe weekend everyone, hopefully I'll be back on more next week.

Good prevening, everyone!!  (Do you watch Big Bang Theory?  If you do, you know what I'm talking about).

I skipped out of work early and went and got a pedicure!  (Don't tell anyone!!)  My younger son needs the babysitting money, so I left the kids alone.  I don't necessarily think pedis are relaxing, but I do like when my feet look good.  Makes wearing the flip flops better for the weekend.

Oh Deb...talk about bumper crop.  Dave is planting the tomatoes and pickles today.  That means five trillion bushels of veg cluttering up my kitchen.    I would much rather have raspberries!

I am going to lunch with friends on Saturday, and going to see Sex and the City 2 on Sunday.  That's about it.  The rest of the time is me, the DVR, and the A/C!!!  (B****ina, we have baseboard heat but have central air.  We put the blower in the attic and put vents in the ceiling.)

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
