Well...  Dunno for sure.  At least it is done.  I went thru two masks before they set me with a nose-hole type adapter.  The masks that go over the nose were too big.  Apparently my eyes are closer in proximity to my mouth than most people.  At least I couldn't get it to where air wasn't either blowing in my mouth or eyes.   I also have a pumpkin head.  My mom used to say if my head ever got cut off it would roll forever. (It was meant in a nice way.)  So I was pulling the strap down in back all night long to keep the contraption on my face. This time I did get some sleep (I was also allowed to have Tylenol PM.  I only took one though).  I didn't have so much of the starting to drift and then being alert again, but I did wake up, really wake up a bunch of times - at least 10.  After it was all done I wish I'd asked what I should do when I woke from discomfort or mask issues to let them know that I was aware that I was awake.   I did kind of think about it in the middle of the night and opened my eyes a few times.  I don't know if it made any difference.   A couple of hours before the end I was completely uncomfortable though.  My hips were killing me.  The bed was just a bit too firm. The tech asked if I slept better than I normally do.  Again, my answer was 'no'.  I don't think he believed that I don't have any sleeping issues.  Before going to bed he said that with the CPAP I should sleep better.  I told him that I don't have any problem sleeping.  He asked me why I was there and I told him it was because I snore.   I wonder if they can tell if someone is really awake and knows it or not?  If not, I may have a CPAP machine for the rest of time since I don't think I'd ever have a good nights sleep there.  The tech asked if I ever sleep on my back.  Maybe he could and was irritated that I wasn't sleeping well.  I'll ask if I ever meet the Dr. Anyway, he seemed pretty convinced that if I was having a 2nd sleep study then I was going to be getting my own CPAP.  Which I figured anyway.  Just need to get some Crazy Glue to keep in on!  Thanks for asking!! Gwen, I have had mine for almost 8 years.  You get used to them.  Hopefully where ever you find to get yours has several types in stock.  They will get you fitted with the correct one. Best of luck Pam
