It's official. I got my denial letter in the mail today. Dh called and read it too me (I'm at work). It says I haven't done a 6 month consecutive weight loss program. I have been seeing a nutritionist since 4/06 through a program called Health Steps at the hospital. I'm 4 months through a 6 month physician suprevised diet (anticipating this denial). I'm hoping *fingers crossed* that when I finish in June that I'll be approved. I cried at work, felt like an idiot, but everyone understood. I asked DH not to call here if I got a denial, just wait until I got home to tell me. Oh well, he means well. I just need to go a have a good cry in private.....

Denials are hard ....Do not give up jump through there hoops and June will be here before you know it. Take this time to start a program that will make surgery easier for you. keep on keeping on .... Jenny B Wise

Have you appealed the denial based on the fact that you have been supervised(nutritionist) for almost two years?? just a thought, best wishes, Marcia PS what do they think that is?
