My friend from work is approved for lap band and now can't find a phsyciatrist who will take medicaid and is qualified to do her testing.  She desperately needs and wants this surgery.  She will travel to wherever she needs to, to get her evaluation done.  If you know of someone who will take medicaid please let me know and I will pass on the info to her.  She lives in Corunna. Thanks, Frankie

Frankie -  I'm pretty sure that Dr. Williams DOES take Medicaid.  I know his regular office gal is off on maternity leave right now, so she might need to dig a bit deeper.  Or maybe they don't do Medicaid through his Hurley office --- but he's also got a private practice, so maybe he can do it through that office.   His office number is: 810-630-1152 Dr. Williams is awesome for psych evals.  He does your appointment and you know if you're approved or not before you leave the office.  Then he faxes the results to Hurley before the end of the day.  Even if she has to pay for the appointment out of pocket, it's worth it for the speed factor alone.
