I have a strange question
I am having a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy with Dr Lutrzykowsky on April 9th. He mostly does DS surgeries and I will be his first sleeve (which is actually the first part of the DS). That said, I have a friend who had the DS with him and she is telling me that there is little prep for the surgery and that afterwards, she was able to eat solid foods within a week. On the VSG forum, I read that most people are not on solid foods for a few weeks out. I would just like to know if anyone can clear this up for me? I so want to be successful at this and not have any complications, but the sleeve is different from the DS and I want to go to my pre-op appt. with plenty of information.
