Hows your cup of Coffee

I drink Starbuck's Breakfast Blend...black....brewed at home.  The only thing I put in it is a little bit of ice (I'm a coffee drinker....not a sipper...LOL!)  I didn't start drinking coffee until about 1 and 1/2 years ago.  That's when my hubby started buying Starbucks brand to brew at home.  Now, I'm hooked.  Although, I find that when I buy coffee at Starbucks, it's WAY stronger than I normally prefer.   I also like the light roast at Panera.  Even though I love coffee now, I pretty much stick to one cup a day, unless it's the weekend, then I may have two or three throughout the day.  If I drink more than one cup at a time, I get jittery...so I try not to overdo it!   Tina

Most days I gag on the smell of DH's coffee... I used to drink it every day, but no more... I have a glass of milk instead.... LOL....

At home we drink Folger's Custom Roast.  Hubby uses S/F French Vanilla by International Delight, and I use either powdered creamer or S/F Hazelnut Creamer.  We both use Equal or the store brand of same.  I don't even keep real sugar in the house anymore.  From time to time, I buy flavored fresh ground coffee for a treat.  Whenever we travel, it's Dunkin' coffee.  Always.  I tried Starbucks one time and it tasted no different than any other, so for the price you pay at Starbucks, it's cheaper to go to Dunkin'. As far as when you can resume drinking coffee...my Dr. recommended going off it totally because of the caffeine and acids in it.  I couldn't do it.  I was drinking coffee almost right away after my surgery.  I get all the protein I need from my "grazing" all day so I refuse to add clumpy protein powder to my coffee.  That was the one thing in my new diet life that I refused to alter.  I only drink one 20 oz. mug each day so I want it to be MY WAY.

My favorite coffee is Dunkin Donuts brand French Vanilla that I brew at home, but hubby doesn't like that, so I only make it when I'm not sharing with him! lol Otherwise I brew whatever kind we have. And I like a splash of the SF French Vanilla creamer. My Starbucks fix used  to be an iced venti vanilla latte, but now it's a SKINNY iced grande vanilla latte or a SKINNY iced grande cinnamon dolce latte.  I need to make the switch to decaf here soon... that's going to be rough! I'm still pre-op.

I find that the switch to decaf is a must. Most Doctors will tell you to switch. After a week or two you know the diff. And feel better you did do the change.

Good morning all you coffee fans.....

My Doc says NO REGULAR COFFEE and I pretty much stuck to that until recently. I work three morning a week, and the bank where I work doesn't brew decaf, so I usually have one cup of regular, sometimes decaf green tea. I brew decaf at home and love the s/f french vanilla creamer in it. Sip while I am surfing the web.

I've tried the speciality coffees but prefer just regular ole
Folgers.

Have a great day .....greetings from FRIGID southwest
Michigan!
