cancer

has anyone had any problems with their throat glands after surgery?  my glands have been enlarged and dr is scheduling me for biopsy, i am afraid that its cancer, my dad had enlarged glands and he died from cancer.  any answers? thx

Try not to let yourself worry too much, the "C" word is a scary one and it is hard not to worry when in that situation.  Just keep in mind the doctor should do a biopsy with your dad's history and all, just to cover himself and you.  But please don't upset yourself or worry untill the Dr. says to worry.  Sending positive thoughts your way, Patti.

Please try not and worry yourself too much.  I hate the "c" word.  My son at age 9 was diagnosed with lymphoma.  We were in childrens hospital and his doctor said please dont call it cancer.  It is such a dreadful name and there are so many cancers out there now that are treatable.  We were blessed come to find out it was a misdiagnoses.  But I spent 2 weeks in the hospital with him and got to see first hand the struggles.  I will keep you in my prayers and please think positively.

thank-you all very much for posting your replies ! its my upper glands that are swollen, my appt for ent is monday, so until then i will be a big worry wart ! everyone has been  very supportative and i need to talk about different things, thank-you

Dont worry....sorry we missed you at skating-even though we didnt skate.  I hear we have appts with Dinick Saturday but ours isnt until 140pm :( Shannon
