ok im on Day 7 of my 21 pre-op diet from MMPC........  i never realized what willpower really was until this.......Top 6 things  things ive learned in this loooooooong week: 1. Valentines Day, the conversation hearts and the candy will always stare you down.... 2. No matter HOW much flavoring you put in it, you cant get rid of the protein/soy taste out of the Chicken Noodle Soup..... 3.You can smell a roasted dinner the rest of your family is serving all you want, you STILL cant taste it--haha... 4. As your sister is eating her dessert/snack/entree, you feel your mouth water so bad, you feel like you may drool..... 5. Never in my life would i think that beef broth will save you from eating everything in the fridge...LOL 6.I may never eat Jello ever again...hehehe Even though most of it tastes pretty bad, ive found that the chili is REALLY good if you add the taco seasoning packets....or use taco sauce....hahahaha Its been ok...and i know its worth it in the end.....when went to my pre-op appoints, i found out that since December 27th, ive lose 15lbs...yay me!!!!...now only 2 weeks left to go on this diet and ill be on the losers bench with ya!!!!! anyone else have surgery at MMPC or elsewhere on Mar 4???

You are correct.. it does get better and will be even more better (If that is a word) when all is said and done!  Keep plugging along, I know it is crappy, but well worth it!

Congrats to you Jen, You are making a great attempt and keeping your self motivated. Good insights to keep in mind and not think about what you are missing... I may not agree about the chili, but-- we are all different( the protein bar and soy nuts are still m favorites..( When I had my surgery we just had shakes, but I have tried the foods) Take care and good luck..
