My RNY is scheduled for 3/5/08 2 1/2 weeks. I just found the forum today. I am very excited. Start my 2 week diet tomorrow. I noticed not many men on the forum, so like in my home, with my beautiful wife and daughter, I bow to the ladies for any advice and support

I bet you are so excited.... I am having the lap band on Feb 27th, so I can't give you any advice on that, but I do understand your excitement!!! I am beyond excitement, and You will match your beautiful wife and daughter, from the outside also!  I am sure they see you as beautiful inside and outside~!  If you ever need a pal to chat with, let me know,,,, its always nice to talk to anyone that is going thru the same life changing operation, even if it isnt the "same" operation! My husband had weight loss surgery after I did.  You will find it so helpful that you are both on the same path.  Congratulations on making this life changing decision!

Congrats to you on the best decision of your life!  Its a wild ride I would it do over and over again, and I am just over 4 months out.  You will find great support here.  There are a few men here, but you are right.. the women "out weigh" the men.  Welcome and congrats to you again!

Welcome! Yup, you're right, not a whole lot of men found here. If you're more comfortable, there is a mens forum.  If you put your cursor on 'forums' above and then click on 'more' forums you can find the men's forum. Good luck on your journey. Anna

Wedcome to the board.  There are some men on here, we just don't post as much as the ladies.  I'm sure you are excited.  Get ready for quite a ride. Jon

Welcome to the board!    My advice to you is to start getting healthy now.    Start eating like you've already had surgery, lots of protein, lots of water and very little carbs and fat.  Read all the profiles you can, and get out and walk.    Maybe even start some vitamins now.    All of this will help in your recovery.    Good luck Linda
