update..this and that...

Well, as of about noon today I decided I was going to live...I've had the flu since the weekend.  It's been he!!.  My poor DH, trying to take care of me and the boys...he's ready for a vacation.   Anyways.. I had my nut consult.  It went very well.  I saw my surgeon that morning at work (work in OR with him) and told him that I was seeing her that afternoon.  He said they'd send my stuff out the next day!!! to the ins co.  I saw his receptionist in the hall that night, asked her to watch for my letter, she said it had already came, and when she handed it to him he knew what it was b/c he was expecting it :-)  They sent everything out Wednesay.  I'm praying for a quick response and of course, approval!  I'll let ya know how that goes. Saw PCP today for montly weigh in (still doing that until I get approval) and b/c of flu.  Got a few scripts, I have bronchitis on top of the flu.  Of course I'm down 8 lbs (no appetite).  He said "your doing so well, have you considered just forgetting about surgery and just sticking with WW" I told him that I never have lasting WL with WW.  He isn't anti-WLS, but he sure isn't very supportive either.  I'm going to show him.  I asked him how many patients in his practice have had WLS, 1 he said.   When this is all over I plan to look for a new PCP.  Mostly b/c he moved his office 45 min. away and his office is not well managed now.  They are always extrememly behind and a few of them are just plain rude.  (Old office, old staff very friendly and efficient...never waited more than 10 min past scheduled appt time).   I hope you are all well.  This flu is nasty...and I even got a flu shot at work.  Guess it was the wrong strain.  Better luck next year, huh.

I hope you are feeling better.  The flu is going around here too.  The wait for the approval is the worst.  I called every few days checking.  Good luck and I will be thinking of you.
