OK, so I cannot seem to stay away from them.  Those pickles that are prepacked at the deli.  And they have like 1000 grams of sodium in them.  So, how much water do I have to drink to counter act all that salt I am intaking??  I know I cannot give them up, just please dont tell me to give them up, anything but my pickles.... thanks belinda

I agree that bread and butter are the best, I have a salt addiction or something.  Is it because I am diabetic?  I used to drink straight juice from vlasic saurkraut and straight pickle juice pre surgery.  Now, when I eat my ginormous pickle, I cant even form spit afterwards.  It makes me retain water so badly.  So how much do you think I should drink after I eat one of these devils? thanks, belinda

Mt. Olive Pickle company makes a real good sugar-free bread and butter pickle.  Unfortunately, I only ever found them at Farmer Jack and I'm down to my last stashed jar.  They can be ordered on line, both of their sugar-frees are better (to my taste) than Vlasic.  They use Splenda.

Meijers has Mt. Olive sugar free pickles and sweet relish.  Meijers also carries their own brand of sugar free and there just as good. Kathy........

I also had a dill pickle addiction.... starting at about 3 weeks after surgery until just a couple weeks ago.  My NUT told me they were fine as long as I kept my daily sodium intake under 2000mg, then I'd be fine.   I was addicted to the tiny baby pickles.  They seemed to settle my stomach when I ate something that didn't agree.  But then suddenly a couple weeks ago I didn't have those overwhelming cravings for pickles anymore.  Thankfully nothing has replaced those cravings either. LOL!  I felt like I was pregnant or something... craving dill pickles.  Of all things! Pam

Thank you Pam!  I was wondering if I was raising my BP or something with these things.  I eat about 2 per week on average...
