I got home Friday night about 11 pm.  I was going to ask for another Vicodin before I left but it slipped my mind....about Flint I was in pain!  Thank god I had Lortab at home and took some of that when we got home and the next morning until my prescription got filled.   The surgery went well.  Dr. DiNick took off 11 pounds and repaired my hernia.  Trying to walk the first three times at the hospital was not good.  I kept getting sick to my stomach and felt like I was on fire.  That finally settled down on Friday afternoon and I was able to walk without feeling sick anymore.  Dr. DiNick came in and said that things went well in surgery.  I went in at 11:45 and he finished at 5:45.   Today the pain pump came out and I was able to take a shower - omg that felt great.  I feel so refreshed!!  Getting in and out of the chair is becoming easier as I am figuring out what positions I need to be in to get in or out with minimal pain.  I have posted some pics, both before and a few after.  The afters are not that great as my bff took them Friday night when we got back to my house.  Will get more within the next weeks and post a comparison. Looking good. I am glad to hear the surgery went well. Things will start to feel better in a couple of days for sure. Keep up with the pain meds and that is the biggest thing you can do. I hope your recovery goes well. At least with the snow up there you stay in the house now with good reason!!!

OMG FOUR!!!  And they are all in the upper leg area.  They really aren't that bad, just a nusiance to having 'hanging' around.  Right now my garmet is being washed and dried and I feel ilke my insides are 'oozing' out!!  Asked mom 'when is it going to be dry????'  She keeps laughing at me. Stacey is brining me popsicles and blueberry waffles!  :)  I am craving blueberry waffles for some reason...probably cuz my son loves them and I will occassionally finish what he has left from his meal.  She tells me she is going to bring a comedy over....I told her that is all I need, to watch a comedy so I laugh!  NOT!!! I go back Saturday to see Dr. DiNick and hoping he will take two of the drains out.  Keeping my fingers crossed for that one.

Yeah the drains were the worst...my last one was taken out about week 6...I felt like I had balls...LOL Don't laugh too hard unless you have your garment on...believe me it hurts..LOL Have fun and rest and relax or your drains will stay in longer.I found that out the hard way!! Glad to hear you are home  and all went well.  Congrats on having a flat tummy now... Woooo Hooo... I really like hearing the good stories like yours... I Have heard so many bad ones that I am terrified to even get a consult for my TT... Hearing a story like yours makes me think that I can do it... Maybe this summer I can go in to Dr. DiNick for a consult... Thanks for your update and I hope you are back to yourself soon.... Get some rest and take care of yourself... HUGS,

So far so good!  You should go to see him.  I am impressed so far.  Stacey just helped me with getting the garmet back on.  She could not believe how far back on my hips that he went.  She said it's much farther than what he did on her or Shannon.   Thank god for me laptop!!  Although right now I am about to fall asleep from the Vicodin.  LOL All I need is to fall asleep with laptop on my lap.  :)

Michelle, glad to hear all went well.  It takes time and patience.  The drains suck but are necessary. Jon
