Barix Q

Got a Q.  The ins. lady told me the surgeon would over look my chart then send it in to ins.  What is he looking at? they told me I should find out if I am approved in 7-10 days.  How long did it take for you? and how do they know it will only take 7-10 days I thought ins. co.'s did approval as they pleased.

I don't know exactly why the surgeon would have to look at it prior to insurance approval.  I just remember that he took 3 weeks to review my chart prior to scheduling calling me.  I would call everyday til I got an answer.  They are used to it there.  I was a royal pain. Good Luck, Belinda

My approval took 2 weeks, but not sure if the surgeon had to do any review of the charts before hand. But that was with M-Care, so I don't know with other insurance companies.

I just went threw the same thing last week with Barix clinic. I was approved in less the 7 days. I asked what the surgeon looks for and the ins.lady ((Stephanie)) told me he makes sure that all your medical clearences are okay. I called almost everyday to find out how far I was in the approval process!! Good luck to you in your journey and you will find out very soon!!  

hummm interesting because once I got my approval from the insurance company and then the doctor looked to make sure all of my medical clearance;s were complete, which only took like one day, I was set up for surgery can was call with in only a few days Barix did everything for me.
