Sad News... Heart Attack

Thanks Connie. How are you doing stranger? Do you miss good ole' michigan? Joe is doing better and is scheduled to be released tomorrow. He will be off of work for a few weeks so I am going to get his butt on that treadmill!!!  No excuses!!   Susie

Susie, I miss the friends I made in MI. I don't miss the colder weather. I love my job down here. I work for a company that makes and sells Gymnastics equipment. It's really exciting and alot to do here. I am just south of Fort Worth, TX. Downtown Fort Worth is really beautiful and the stockyards are alot of fun.  Keep Joe in line and get him eating better and exercising. He'll have a tough time keeping up with you. Miss ya girlie!! Oh dear Susie! I am so sorry to hear about Joe's health issues. You are both in my prayers.  As an aside, I too heard you sing (even if I was outside the tent) and you sounded wonderful so I can only imagine how much better you would sound without bronchitis! Way cool too about the Trace Adkins tickets too!  Have to ask.. Did you take time to shop while in Frankenmuth? (naturally before Joe's episode) Reason I ask is I went into the health food store (for those of you who haven't been to Frankenmuth for awhile it is located just north of the cheese store in the old wood carver shoppe) Purchased a few protien packets that I had never tried or heard of before.  One brand is Jay Robb's Whey protien. So far I have tried the regular chocloate and the one with egg whites. Not bad but not great either. Low carb and about 25 grams of protien. So in a pinch they will do.. Have you tried them? Also bought another brand that was vegetable based (can't remember the brand name) that was orange, creamsicle flavored. It clumped and had chunks of something in it. Not quite sure what the chunks were but they were definitely something solid like orange peal etc. Tasted good but the lumps and pieces were hard to get by.  Any way if you haven't been in there you may want to check the place out.  In the mean time take care of yourself and Joe.

You are too sweet Patt!!  Unfortunatley, I did not get to shop because I was so sick on Saturday during the day. I slept in while Joe had to return to the tent for the activities and the kids played video games and things until I took them to the pool. We didn't even get to see the sculptures this year. We were to do that on Sunday before we headed home but then Joe has his attack. I just may have to get back there to try out those protein packets. They sound good. Joe is due to be released tomorrow so I am going to pick him up and he will stay here with me so I can take care of him, along with all of my daycare kids. He can just sit on the couch and help burp the babies and I can work on my homework!! lol!!  It should be fun. Thanks so much for your support. Take care, Susie
