Good hotel deal near Barix in Ypsilanti

If you are having surgery at Barix Clinics in Ypsilanti, MI and need a hotel, I've found a nice deal!  The Marriott at Eagle Crest sells their rooms to patients for 95.99 a night, regularly priced at 189.99!  You have to say "Forest Health Medical Center" when you ask for the discount, as that is how the clinic is listed in their database. The hotel is only 3/4 of a mile from the clinic, which is really convenient for family.  The rooms are gorgeous with the MOST comfortable beds ever, and are filled with lots of extras like products from Bath & Body works, oodles of pillows, and wireless internet.   When you're going in for a nerve-wracking procedure, it's soothing to have a luxurious hotel room at a great price just around the corner from the clinic.  When I stayed there last week for PATs, the front desk staff couldn't do enough to assist us! Sounds delightful but after paying for gas down there from 2.5 hours away, I'd be better off sleeping in my truck!  (just kidding) I've found Days Inn on Carpenter of US 23 is close too and less than 55.00 per night and has indoor pool.  Not a luxury place at all but then again it's whatever people want to spend. And if you could ever talk my Mom into spending that much money on a hotel room, I'd pay for a week for you there.  She gets a senior discount and still won't pay over 60.00 a night.  But it sounds nice! I've heard great things about that hotel (DH has a friend who works in the restaurant).  The hotel DH works at in Midland used to be owned by Marriott.  When they sold it we lost our $25/night room privelages.  It kills me to pay full price for rooms now.  The current hotel owners (Dolce Int) have only a dozen hotels in the US and no others in Michigan :-(   I'll stop whinning now.  You have found a great deal though....
