OT: Happy Happy!
Just wanted to wish everyone Happy New Year! Be sure to make it a good one. My friends and I believe that whatever or however you bring your new year in is what the rest of your year will be like. So make it good!! Any exciting plans for anyone?? I'm just doing the family thing. Rob and I are taking the kids to dinner and a movie.

Happy New Year to everyone!
I remember as a kid, my mom and dad started getting ready to go out at about 1pm. We always got pizza and a babysitter and they stayed out all night dancing with friends. Does anyone do this anymore? Everyone I know couldn't get a babysitter if they tried!
We are staying home and watching the ball drop. DH's family has a tradtion...they put money in their shoes and wear them at midnight. It's supposed to bring prosperity in the New Year. So far, it's worked for us! Not always monitarily, but in other ways we're very very blessed.
So put some change in your shoe and have a great one!!

I remember that too! My parents would go out to a party and dance all night. We'd get a babysitter and get pizza too. I remember them coming home with the cool party favors. The noise makers, hats and all kinds of goodies. Wow, that brought back memories. It seemed like it was such a big deal...couldn't wait till I was old enough.
I like the money in the shoe thing....can't hurt to try.
