Hello Everyone!
I know I haven't been on in a while, but I do still think of all of you!!  I've just been busy with the kids and with school.  (I enrolled in Seacoast Career Schools this September.)  Today, I dug out some holiday decorations and came across all my wonderful cards from last X-mas.  It was GREAT!!  I really enjoyed it last year and would LOVE to do it again!!  So...anyone else up for a Holiday Card exchange again this year??  I know Christmas is still more than a month away, but I'm thinking about it now...if I wait till it gets closer, I may forget to put it out here.  Anyhow, if you're interested, let me know.

I hope everyone is doing well and that you are all staying warm and cozy.  Take care.  (((((HUGS)))))

PS.  Thought I should mention that I'm back UP to 230.5 pounds.  My activity levels have dropped considerably since I went back to school...GOTTA get my butt back on track
Other than that, I'm doing pretty good.

hey Julz, nice hearing from you.  It must be a crazy time with the kids and even more school. More power to you.  I was just telling my DH i'm not doing cards this year,  too much work.  None of his family talks to each other, we are the only ones who, for years have kept them all together.  till this past year,  we just gave up.  they are all adults, they can work at it too.  geee, so I'm not sending them cards and not getting any back.  I'll do it for my family but that's it.  anyway,  Bahhh Humbug, lol  I feel for you with the weight thing, and understand how hard it is.  I lost 6 lbs. in 2 weeks and gainned it all back over the weekend.  I'm very depressed about this and very close to giving up.  Maybe staying away as you do is what I need also.  If you need some private support i'm here if you need me.  best of luck,  go see Dr. maybe a new fill might help a little.  Keep in touch and Happy Holidays if we dont' see you.  Hugs, Cheryl

Hi Cheryl.
I hear ya on the family thing...I have a big family and only one sister and one neice bother to keep in contact on a regular basis.  I have closer bonds with some of my online friends than i do most of my family.  But, as I said in one of my blogs...we don't HAVE to keep in contact with those that aren't healthy for us.  We can sort of break up with them.  I did that a while ago and have been feeling less weight on my shoulders.
As for the weight, sorry to hear you are strugling so hard too.  Don't give up.  We gotta keep our chins up and just try each day.  Eventually SOMETHING HAS to give for us!    Tonight, the Biggest Loser is on...I think I'll at least do squats during the commercials...I'll be doing homework during the show as well as trying to study for finals.  A little each day and hopefully I'll end up back on the exercise track!!
THANKS for your support!  I'll do my best to be around more...especially during the Holidays.  I think we could all use more support this time of year.
Feel free to message me and vent, complain, or whatever ya need.

Hi Julz,
So good to hear from you.  What are you studying?? Good for you!! Not easy with small children going back to school.  I went for my grad degree when I was 46,  still had my 9th grade daughter at home, so I know about the sedentary lifestyle of a student.  I went into grad school at I think 165# and graduated at about 200# and it didn't get better.  10 years later i hit my all time high of 236 and began this journey of a healthier me.  So I know you have had to take a step back, but my encouragement is to put yourself FIRST for a change, and as part of whatever course you are taking, make a course of fitness to go with it.  I wish someone had said that to me...walk, do a tape at home, there will always be another paper to write or chapter to read but you only have this one life, and to do whatever you are studying to do, healthier will make it easier.
Honking with love,
kate

Hi Kate.
I'm going taking the Health Claims Specialist Program at Seacoast Career Schools.  It's a 9 month program, so I'll fini**** in June just after my kids finish their school year.    I really like that.  Each term is 5 weeks and there's ALOT packed into each class, so lots of studying and homework.
You're right, I do need to get my focus on fitness as well.  I'm going to try adding little things like squats during commercials and crunches before bed...a little bit each day and hope I get it together.
Thanks for the honks.
Take care.
Julie

Good to hear from you!  Sounds like you are staying busy with kids and going back to school!  Good for you for doing this for yourself!  I know it's hard to stay on track when "life" gets in the way!  Just remember to take some time for yourself and do what you need to do to keep yourself healthy!  Your kids and family need you around.....healthy!  Good luck!

btw.......I'm in for a Christmas card exchange!  Just let me know details!

Hiya Ruth.
The card exchange is pretty simple...all you need to do is send me a private message with your name, home address, and Email address.  Then, around the first week of December, once I have everyone's info who wants to participate, I'll send all contact info to all of you through your emails.  Then you just send out your cards as you can.  You can send home made, store-bought, ones you print from your computer...any kind you wish.  I figure we should have them all mailed by Dec. 18th.  That way they'll have about a week to get to everyone.  We all know that the postal service gets overwhelmed this time of year.
I LOVED doing this last year!!  I hope more people join in.  Not even just X-mas cards...I don't want to exclude anyone who celebrates something different. It's nice to have variety and to learn about other traditions.
Thanks for joining and helping me celebrate!!
