Update on Deb

Deb called me last night........she went home on Friday and is doing well getting all her liquids in. She's been eating a few bites of food, according to her plan. She's still a bit sore (duh...open, RNY, guess it'll be sore for a bit longer!) She didn't sleep well her first night home as she had quite a bit of pain getting in and out of bed. She was gonna try the recliner Saturday night and see if that was better. Overall, she is doing well! She even went shopping!!

I'm glad she's doing well and home.....safe and sound!

I didnt' know she had an open. was there a reason, or just the dr.?? and shopping all ready how she didnt' over do. she's a tough cookie... sounds like she can't wait to go back to work, she really loves her Boss... hehe

Thanks Ruth! I am glad that Deb is doing well. I didn't realize that her doc was doing it open either! I feel for her! I remember the pain for lap, can't imagine open incision... And ps you aren't a stinky angel!! Wait until you are over 1 year out... you will be stinky then!! Believe me!!

Deb has the same Dr as i do and He only does Open Rny too ... i feel her pain but it does get much bettter in a few days.. but she will be so happy for her 2 week appt when the staple come out .. Deb i am thinking of you and wishing you me best...
