I have seen posts on the other forums about getting a medical id for RNY patients (if ever in an accident no blind ng tubes, etc) Do any of you have this sort of thing?

I don't have the medic alert bracelet, but I did stop in at my local hospital and have a note placed in my medical files about no blind NG tube and no NSAIDS. Dh has also been told that these should never be allowed on me.

I have one, that says RNY, and no nsaids with my name and emerg contact #,  I think they are a good idea.

It was magic when she realized who she had become...

It's been suggested to me to have an id bracelet that says refer to wallet information and have a card with all your information in there. I have too much stuff to list on a bracelet like asthma, penicillan allergy, etc.

I have worn a medical bracelet for 2 years. It is a very good idea. Someone on this site can't remember who thought that in an emergency she would want a breathing tube anyway.
I had this clarified for me when I had my arm surgery 8 weeks ago. A breathing tube is different that a ng tube BUT they would like to know that you have had RNY so they know . before any problems.
If I cannot talk in an emergency I want them to KNOW what there dealing with right then.

I'm a day late and dollar short with this post, but I DO have a medical ID bracelet and I wear it pretty much all the time.  It has the info you stated (no NSAIDS or blind NG tube) I also have my surgeon's name, durgery date and type of surgery listed on the back of the ID.

I also have what is called a "Road ID".  I wear it around my ankle when I am out walking/jogging and it lists my DH and his cell and our home number in case I get hit by a car or something.   I'm getting a road ID for my DH too as he's started jogging again too.   Guess I am TOO careful?

Have a great evening!
