Not sure how many of you remember, but a few weeks after surgery, I lost part of a tooth (a molar that had had fillings just crumbled in my mouth).  WELL..............guess what happened today!!!!!!!!!!     I had ANOTHER tooth do the same thing!!!!!!!!!  YIKES!!!!!!!!!  This time, it's an upper molar, of course, on the opposite side of the first tooth that went "bad"!  I'm SOOO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!   I asked the dentist........specifically........if I needed to do or take anything to help my teeth and he said no!  I'm REALLY REALLY MAD!!!!!!!!!!    So, now I need a crown on my right lower molar and will probably need one on this upper left one too...BUT.......I have to wait until January as I've used all my Medical spending account money for this year already!!!!!!!!  Hope they can do a temporary fix to this tooth to get me through to January!  Guess I'm back on soft foods for a while!!!!!!!!!   THIS STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting me rant!!!!!!!!!!

Oh!  I am sorry to hear about your tooth!  Do you think it is a vitamin deficiency?  Do they know that you had the RNY?

I told them when I lost the part of the first tooth that I had the RNY and asked them if there was anything I should be supplementing and they said no!  I had a lot of cavities when I was a kid and I think some of those fillings are just failing me now and ........oh, I DON'T KNOW!  I'm still so peeved and NOW, my tooth is starting to hurt and my stomach is upset!!!!  I'm gonna go cry for a few minutes!

Thanks for your support everyone!!!!!!!

Well, I wonder if vitamin D will help. I just ordered some from Vitalady and it is just a tiny little pill that dissolves under the tongue.  Just like the b12.  Maybe you should just start taking it.

I've called the surgeon's office to see what they say about it.  I figure they ought to know, right?  I'll take whatever will help at this point!  Sheesshhh!  I'll ask them about the vit D when they call back!   Thanks Kathi!

I fell 3 years ago and snapped my jaws togehter and have had 8000$ worth of crowns and repairs and still have another 5000$ to go.  Alot of the broken teeth were the gigantic fillings I had as a child that just crumbled.  It happens even without trauma to the tooth. So, I know how you feel.  I have been patching togehter 2 teeth for about 6 months cause I can't afford another crown right now...I would much rather be doing PS!!!!
So sorry, hope you are feeling better but take care of it!!!

I think that's what's happening to my teeth too kate!  I'm seeing the dentist in the morning, so we'll see what he says!  I just hope he can fix it!  It's quite sensitive at this point!  AND, it kinda has a sharp edge too from the filling that's in there!  Hope I don't cut up the inside of my cheek!  Yikes!   I can't wait until January when I get my new Medical spending account and can get all this stuff taken care of (pre-tax is always nice!)
Thanks!
