Feeling Lost...
I feel so lost.... Stupid sleep study has me at wits end... just dont know what to do with myself.... I didnt exersize all weekend... Bad me.... But I Behaved for the food part.... I Just feel like time is standing still and I cant do anything about it... I hate it... I wish there was something I could do... Man do I feel helpless... I was soo close... But no cigar...
common, its not over, don't give up...!!! yes, a bump in the road, we all hit one or two or some of us have actually lost insurance or changed jobs, lost dr's, and had to start process all over again. I've only lost 10 lbs. since surgery(april 21). Do you want to talk about frustrated? I know I complain lots, but I really am trying to take this one day at a time and be possitive. There is always someone worse off then me. If you really want this done, keep the faith. You said you can't do anything? of course you can, work on the 10% or even 15 if you can, it will just put you that far ahead and healthier for surgery, you don't want any complications, and believe me, it really is a learning curve, you can ask anyone, try to get your brain into this. That is the hardest part, the weight loss is the easy part, Dr. L will fix that part. Be good, and get back on the band wagon, you can do this. If I need to whip your ARsss!!! SMile

It can be very frustrating. It took me almost a year to get through everything. I had to do 6 month of Dr. supervised weight loss effort for my insurance. Then my insurance rejected me twice and I had practically given up. It is a long process for most of us. Some have to wait a year just get a consult with surgeon. Hang in there and just focus on working on losing that 10% or even more before surgery.
"Keep your eye on the prize, Jess!!!" This is just a "speedbump"! I KNOW waiting is hard...been there, done that! It's frustrating! But, try to be optimistic.....this gives you extra time to regroup, lose those few pounds you need to lose and get your mind wrapped around all of the changes that will be happening sooner than you think!! Like Cheryl and Michelle said, Dr L will fix your stomach, not your brain (I'm still wishing he had fixed the brain too!!!) The brain is the toughest part to work on!
I hate being at the mercy of other people too....it really stinks! But, keep your chin up...remember why you want this surgery! Keep on working on it.....even if it seems no one else knows or cares what you are going through (at that sleep doc's office)!!! Know that we are here for you and we're rooting for you! YOU CAN AND WILL DO THIS!!!!!!!!!
Hugs!

I'm sorry I missed your post the other day about your sleep study - I had to go back and read it this morning.
I know it's frustrating, I had delays in the process as well. When you are going through this every minute seems like an hour - once you get to the other side - every minute you waited seems like a second.....it's all a matter of perspective.
My best advice would be to give yourself over to the process - let is happen, don't try to force it - forcing won't change it.
Take care - it will happen when it's time.

It's difficult to hit a bump....but try to stay focused and concentrate on what your goal and acheivements are going to be right now. Don't let the sleep test prevent you from obtaining your goal. A lot of people have had sleep apnea they're not saying you can't have surgery. Focus on losing the rest of the weight you need to and then when your sleep apnea tests get worked out you will be good to go!! You have made good choices lately in the food department and the progress with the rest will come. I HAVE FAITH!!!
take a deep breath. it will all be fine. we've all been there and had to wait too. i'm definately an impatient person. when i want something i want it now. i know how you feel. maybe your surgeon can call them and get the report so he'll at least have the results. maybe he can light a fire under them and say this is the last piece they need to send for approval.
hang in there. your day WILL come.
