Getting Impatient

I know I do not post all the time, but feeling a little frustrated, waiting. I started last January and my next appoinment is Jan 5th. That appoinment is with the surgeon and if all is well they said they would probably schedule my surgery at that time. They said it would be about one month out for surgery, so I am looking at the first middle of Feb. I have everything else done, pshyc, 2 sleep studies( now have a cpap machine) ultrasound, blood work, lost 50 lbs. I have also been going to a private nutiionist about 7 or 8 times since March. Had the six month supervised diet and exercise done to meet my insurance needs, been to a couple of support meetings. Now all I have to do is WAIT!!!!!! and try to keep losing weight at least no gain any. I know I can do it I just am getting a little impatient. It will hopefully go by quick with the holidays coming right up..
Sorry, I guess I should be happy I have come this far and have an appointment..
Thanks for listening
Debbie P

Debbie, I'm so sorry your feeling frustrated,  I can totally relate, it has been a long haul for me also,  for different reasons.  I've had some really bad days, and have worked hard to come around and be possitive, thanks to so many people on here.  I suggest you stop lurking and post a little more, talk to us, ask questions, give others support, before you know ityou'll be right on the bench with the rest of us.  Best of luck  and come join us more often.  Hugs, Cheryl

Debbie,  Waiting was the most difficult part for me too.  I know it doesn't seem like it, but the time will go quickly. The holiday season always goes be so quickly, before you know it your  date will here!  Keep focused on the ultimate goal.  Best wishes!!!

Hi Debbie!
I know waiting is really hard!  (I'm a VERY impatient person myself!)  Did they give you a reason for your appointment not being scheduled until January?  (I'm just curious, since you have all the other requirements done, is the office that busy?)  Maybe call the office and see if they can put you on a cancellation list or something?

Waiting is hard, as Cheryl said!  But, it sounds like you are doing well losing weight and getting everything else done!  Your date will be here before you know it!  We're here for you if you need to vent.....(I know I vent ALL the time!  haha!)

Hang in there!

Thanks you guys, your support it really means alot, I knew it was a very busy office and knew it would take about a year, I guess I was a little disapointed when I finally got the Jan date. I am on a cancellation list, it would be nice if I were alone one that list, but I am sure there are many. I guess I thought I had to complain and be selfish, I will persevere and I know it will go by fast, this time of year always flys by, so much to do I guess,

Thanks Again
Debbie

Debbie

I have the same Dr. and I have been a year this month  and I don't get my appointment until Dec. 29 and I am on the cancellation list as well and I live in Bangor so I don't know if they would call me or not because of the distance but keep your chin up it will go by quick I do know that she is good and very busy.

Keep on hanging in there

Debbie- there's nothing selfish about being impatient. Waiting is hard, especially when you've satisfied all of your requirements for surgery.

Hang in there- post, complain, laugh, cry with us. We're all here to help each other.

I've never been very good at being patient myself - I was known to have more than a hissy fit or two during the pre-op process and quite frankly when I was going through it, it seemed like it would never end - not that I'm this far down the road - it doesn't seem that bad. Perspective certainly is a funny thing.

Hang in there.

I am so sorry about that.... I am still waiting for my results to come in for my sleep study and from my physical... I know that it has not taken me as long as you.... but that 50lbs loss is awesome... I wish i could do that...  Good luck and congrats...
