Yup, it was worse today!  So, I called Dr Loggins office and played phone tag with Crystal most of the morning.  She thinks I just irritated pouchy Friday night and has put me back on Prevacid (sheesshh..just stopped it last week after 6 months of taking it!!!)  and put me back on the Carafate too (I had to take it back in June when my pouchy got inflamed from the antibiotics)  She's gonna run all this by Dr Loggins too...(he was in surgery!  no kidding, right?)  and make sure he doesn't want to do any further testing (she's talking "scope", so I sure hope the meds do the trick!!!)  I have to call them Wednesday with an update or sooner if things get worse.

Thanks for all your support everyone!  I appreciate it!

at 638pm, ETA:  Not fun!  I took all the meds I was supposed to and then, an hour later, tried to eat some supper!  Not good!  I got about 4 bites in me and had to stop as my stomach was hurting too much!  Even liquids..cold, warm, room temp, hurt when they get there!  Good thing I'm not nauseated!   So, I'm WAAAYYY behind on liquids and protein and probably won't catch up today!  Oh well!

i went thru that. it's awful pain and no matter what i ate or drank it hurt. takes your breath away. went to dr. l's office and saw the pa. he put me on carafate and back on previcid. had the endoscopy about 2 weeks later. i felt better within days of starting the meds. they thought i might have the starts of an ulcer. thank goodness that wasn't the problem. the endoscopy showed all was clear and looked great. so i'd say whatever was there was cured by the meds prior to the scope. the scope is a breeze. don't feel a thing and you get a good nap.

i recommend you take the carafate by itself. it disolves quickly and i found myself gagging on it.

you'll feel better in a few days. hang in there.
