So, our new puppy keeps peeing in his crate!!!  We've tried everything, taking up his water dish after supper,  shortening up the crate, bringing him out when I get home at 11:00pm.  I'm so frustrated and not sure getting this puppy was such a good idea as I'm now working full time evenings opposite my DH and the stress level in this house is sky-rocketing.  Please, if anyone has any suggestions I would very much appreciate it.  Also, he whines like crazy when we put him in the crate at night, will he ever get used to it and stop????

I was gonna offer to send you some Depends, adult diapers but when I started reading, I realized it was the puppy that was having issues!  hehe....sorry...that's gotta be rough, I haven't had a puppy in mannnyyy years, so can't help you out there!  Wishing you luck though!

Oh we had a really cute puppy a while ago, and we tried all the house traing advice we could get and she would still pee and poop in the house, never in the crate though, nothing worked for her I am afraid and we ended up padopting her out to another home who had a lot more time to try the potty training, she is really happy now and of course potty trained LOL I don't know what I did wrong but hey, at least she's happy now

Hi,,, Not that I am an expert but how must time does the puppy have out side of the crate? How much excirse does it get? Do you take it for a nice long walk? After supper how many times does he relieve himself? and before its betime does he get a good work out to be tired to sleep through the night. We tried to crate train one of our dogs but it didn't work when we were trying we didn't know she was sick and needed a major surgery for a liver shunt at 10 weeks old so when she came home we decided not to put her into a crate. But our two dogs do sleep in their own dog beds at the foot of our bed.
Does your puppy drink a lot??? through out the day ..... every hour to two hours the puppy has to taken out to where you want it to relieve itself  whenever it wakes up  it needs to out . eventually it will learn to hold itself till it is allowed to go out.... some puppies take longer to learn and some learn real fast.... we had one that took almost 1 1/2 years to be fully learned and the one that had the shunt took 4 months....
What kind of dog is it again???
hope this helped..~~~~Linda

what kind of puppy is it? we litter box trained our chihuahua. it was wicked easy. if he's piddling in the crate he has too much room in there. they won't pee where they eat or sleep. put something in there to make it smaller and crowd him a bit. you could stuff a pillow in the back.

puppies need to go about every 2 hours. they have little bladders.

good luck
