G'morning everyone...haven't been here in a lil' while..."things" are kinda hectic at my house at the moment but are slowly getting back on track.  I think I like the "hectic" better as it keeps my mind busy.  I'm down to 17 days and must admit...the "butterflies are back" and have taken up residence right in the middle of my stomach !!  I start the infamous "2 ~ week liquid diet" Monday morning and am not too excited about that at all...I keep telling myself everything's gonna be fine...but my brain insists on arguing with me...I'm scheduled for 7:15am and I'm happy about that...at least I won't have much time to sit and think about it after I get there...
Ruth has agreed to be my "Angel" (Thank You Ruth) so DH will be keeping in touch with her via telephone...he's gotten the day off so I'm happy about that...I don't do "alone" very well at all...
I think I'm starting to ramble so will end it here for now...Thank You everyone for your kindness and your encouragement ~ you all are soooo amazing !!

Take Care ~

Proud to be your angel DEB!!!    The butterflies are "normal" and you'll probably have some moments leading up to surgery that you are REALLY gonna question if this is right for you!  BUT...remember....you've done the research and know what you're getting into!  The 2 weeks of liquids will be tough........but YOU are TOUGHER!  You can do this!!!!!!!!!!!   Keep letting us know how you are doing!   We're here for you!!!!!!!!!!!   Hugs!!!!!!!!!!       Ruth

I've been wondering how you are - it's totally normal to be nervous at this point, this is a major life change.

Hmmmm......now why wouldn't you be excited about starting the 2 week liquid diet? Hmmm? It's so, so, so much fun.....so tasty and satisfying.....not.......but as I say the good news is that it doesn't last forever and you will get through it.

Wow, the time is here already...seems like only yesterday in some ways that you came and met me when I had mine.  Now its your turn and you will be and do just fine.  We will be praying for you for the 2 week liquid diet and the surgery.  I know the 2 week liquid diet was a drag, but after the first 2-3 days it gets easier cause you dont get as hungry.  Take care and keep us posted.  We are making a spot on the loser's bench for ya...Yeah Deb!  Angela

Deb- it's just around the corner. You'll do fine on the high protein liquids. As said after day 2-3 you will be adjusted to the liquids and it is easier.

Shopping list:

SF Carnation instant breakfast
Slim fast high protein powder
Apple juice- to dilute w/ water
SF cranberry Juice- to dilute w/ water
Ingredients for SF custard- skim milk, egg or eggbeaters.
diet jello
SF popsicles
Crystal lite- or equivalent (get the wal mart brand)

Do you need some unjury products?- they're really quick with delivery.
Keep busy, do things you enjoy to quell the butterfiles.  Also, don't listen to your brain- it may play tricks on you. My crazy brain wanted to cancel surgery- Jepers "I can do liquids and loose- why have surgery??"  Stupid brain- 52 years and I haven't lost weight.

It will be fine, you will be fine.

Emily...
Thank You !!!

And Thanks for the "shopping list"...I'm off to Wal-Mart within the next 1/2 hour...

I haven't tried the Unjury...I do have a canister of Vanilla Isopure from GNC...
smells horrible and I'm thinking Eggface's IceCream recipes sound a whole lot better than those protein shakes !!

Take Care and hope you're having a great week~end !!
