Okay who here can tell me what it means when an insurance company tells you that you meet all the necessary requirements and that they are sending out a letter and are waiting on the drs okay?

I'd give Dr. Huang's office a call.
I don't understand the insurance company's answer. Either it's a covered service and you have the appropriate medical conditions to warant surgery or you don't.

Perhaps the ins. co. is waiting for a surgical date to give final approval for surgery on that date?
I am insured with State of Maine's Anthem policy and was given a 90 day window from the date of approval.

Id call your ins co again and ask what that means. Sounds to me like you will get your ins approval pending the surgeons go ahead. I know Dr Loggins office they need to clear you there before they submit to the ins co. Maybe they are just waiting on your Surgeons request ??

Well I called my insurance co again today to see what they ment and I got a straight answer. Thank goodness. APROVED

i have my surgery date as well. I will be going in on Dec 12, 2008.
