It's been a busy week-end for someone who's plans got changed with the closing being postponed on my house.

Yesterday I went to Bangor with a friend - I did my grocery shopping there instead of the local Hannaford here in Belfast  - I have found where I can truly save money - I stocked up and spent about 1-1/2 times what I would have done in Hannaford for a week - and I have enough food to go for a least 4 weeks - I can't believe the difference in cost. I even save a bunch on gas - it's 15 cents cheaper in Bangor than here.

I met my parents for a picnic lunch in the park today, since it was such a beautiful day. Then I came home and I have cooked, cooked, cooked some more

16 mini meatloaves
chicken/artichoke casserole
chicken carbonara casserole
chicken/apples/onions casserole
stuffed green pepper casserole
cabbage roll casserole

Thats a lot of food - tomorrow I'm going to package up in individual servings for freezing.

Wow!!  That sure is a lot of cooking!!  And everything sounds soooo good!!  I think that gas would be cheaper in Belfast because they unload the tankers right in Searsport, you would think it would be cheaper to haul to Belfast than Bangor......someone is getting rich somewhere.....

Martha Stewart would be SO proud of you !!  {lol}

And speaking of gas prices...
I went to Palmyra Wal-Mart yesterday...next door at the big Irving Truck-Stop gas was $2.87 !!  I was so excited !!
Kinda sad that we get excited even though the price of gas is still too high !!
When the prices rise on the stock market it takes NO time at all to hit the pumps...BUT...when the price drops we don't see the difference at the pumps for weeks...
Oil dropped to $77 a barrel last week...so why aren't all the stations UNDER $3.00 by now ???
Sorry...guess I got a bit carried away
