Mainecare

Anyone he have mainecare for insurance?   how long did it take to get approved?

Sorry...I don't have an answer for you  but wanted to say HI anyways!!!!!   I'm sure someone on here will know!!!

MoodyBlueEyes(Terri) had Mainecare - she started the process I believe in January with EMMC and had her surgery in August. I don't remember exactly how much time it took from the time the request was submitted to the insurance to the approval - but I don't think it was more than a week or two.

If you can find one of her posts and click on her "latest posts" - she does talk about it along with the links for her youtube videos. She is in the process of moving to Michigan right now and it not online with us, otherwise I know she'd be happy to answer any questions you have about Mainecare.

I have Mainecare and was approved in 2days. I had no isues with them at all on anything :)

I have MaineCare. I was in the process for almost 9 months. From April of 07' and got approved in Jan. of 08'.  The only problem I had getting Mainecare to approve, was I didn't have any co-morbidities...until we did the sleep study, and found I had sleep apnea. I had surgery in Feb. however, my surgery didn't get done in Feb. the doctor stopped due to a suspicous vein on my stomach. I had tested done in March and found it was a fluke thing, and did have my surgey on April 10th. It was done with no complications and has been a great success. I just had my 6 month mark and am down 109lbs.
