PMS and Head Hunger

Well this month has certainly been a struggle.  How do you all deal with head hunger and that awful PMS "can't get enough to eat" feeling.  I ate way more than I should have.  I have not been journaling. I think I need to start again.  I am really hoping to be at 100lbs lost by the time I have my 6 month follow up next month but at this rate I doubt I will.

Hey but look at how close to goal you are!!  I may have lost over 100 lbs but I had so much more to lose than you!  So, I think you are right on track!! give it time, Dearie!!

Head hunger is a tough one. What helps me is to make sure that I'm eating plenty of dense protein first, which keeps me physically full longer -and that makes me physically unable to to eat much more than what I should - I also eat 6 small meals instead of 3, so I don't really have the much time between.

I can understand wanting to be at a 100lbs lost at six months - but please don't be upset if you don't quite get there - you have done awesome regardless.

listen to these girls, they are absolutely right, your doing awesome.  so what you had a bad few days or weeks, you know it, you admit it, and you know what to do.  I'm guilty of doing the same thing, and getting off track is really easy.  you can do it.  Best of LUck, Hugs, Cheryl

Yes  Head hunger is a hard one.  It  gets easy to graze too.

Have a plan and plan  good snacks

Popcorn is my   nightly  plan if i want something  in the evening.  I have no problem with popcorn

I  also   need to plan  a little more  at times.   Head  hunger  and grazing   get me  every time. lol
but you are doing great.  I am trying for my   100 pounds   before my  year  and hope for a little more but we will see  it just goes off  so hard now.

Have a great day!!!  I  dont have pms but i get chocolate fits  sometimes lol

Drink, Drink, Drink!  I just survived the worst week of cravings and head hunger.  I also was trying to get through the PMS thing and it wrecked me mentally.  I did survive!!!!!!!  Keep busy.  Like I said drinking flavored water was my only salvation.  The not eating while drinking thing right!!!!  I understand it's awful, but stick with it.  You are sooo close!!

Thanks everyone.  I will be not really be that upset if I don't reach the 100lbs by my next appointment.  The weight loss has really slowed down and I knew it would as I got closer to goal.  I just have not had much luck with resisting the cravings this week.  Keela, you are right I  need to drink more.  I will work on that.  Thanks

I DITTO what everyone else has said!  Increase fluids and dense protein!  The weight loss does slow as you get closer to goal but keep working that tool and You'll do it!  Head hunger is the worst!  Been there, done that, still fighting it A LOT!!!!!!!
