HI Carrie, I dont know if you already told us your story.  but maybe htere are some people who are having problems similar to yours, with outher dr's.  would you mind if you told us a little about what you are going through?  Maybe some have been there and can help with suggestions or advice.  When did you have your WLS, what kind?  I see you've lost 70 lbs, have you been sick?  Is it the Dr you have problems with or the procedure??? were here for you girl, lets talk.   Hugs, Cheryl

I had an RNY laproscopic surgery on August 7 2002. I got down to 160 lbs at one point and now the weight is just piling back on. I did get pregnant 6 months out from the surgery, and had 3 pregnancies in total after the surgery (delivered Dec 03, Dec 04 and twins May 06) I have had my tubes tied and have tried to take off the weight but I always feel hungry. I think I stretched out my pouch with the twin pregnancy as my weight was manageable until after they were born. I am depressed and really want a revision but can't seem to find anyone. I had an awful time with Dr. A's staff and quit having aftercare as soon as the tubes came out post-op. (long story) I just don't want to be fat, I am so afraid of all my health problems coming back and I'm already having heart problems that I'm medicated for. I don't want my 5 kids to struggle with obesity or having an obese mom. I've got to get myself back on track somehow. I hate this so bad. I can't really do support groups etc, I have a form of Autism called Asperger's and it makes social interaction really difficult, I find I am able, however to reach out online usually, though I tend to disapear for long periods of time.

Hey Carrie, again, hi,  first of ALL WOW !!! 5 kids... holy crap.  I can see and totally see how this all happend, it has happend to many, and that wasn't after having 3 pregnancies.  So it just isn't you.  So, Dr. A is out of the question.  So Looks like your goal would be to find someone who would do a revision, (as I know you already said),  who have you called?  Kathy G suggested her dr. in Portland, have you tried calling there?  I know Dr. L probably won't do a revision, he told me, it was out of the question, if I didn't have success with my Lap Band. so I"m not sure about RNY, I guess I don't hurt in calling.  But, I hear he don't take Maine Care.  So maybe, that is not an option.  my next step would be to Call Kathy's dr.  give it a try, let us know how it works out.  Also, check out the revision board, maybe the BAnd or Sleeve would also be an option.  Good luck and keep in touch.  Cheryl

Hi - wow - 5 kids - that's awesome. The weight gain unfortunately is something that can happen to any of us. I wish I had something better to offer in the way of advise, but I'm too early out. Cheryl did mention in her post about the revision board - this is the link if you don't know where to find if - there are a lot of others out there going through what you are.  www.obesityhelp.com/forums/revision/a,messageboard/board_id, 5360/
