Route 1A goes through Frankfort- Route 1A IS Main Rd. in the town. Just travel down route 1A from Bangor.

Actually if you're traveling north up the turnpike it would be closer to get off at the Dysarts Truck Stop exit 139 and catch Route 1A- otherwise you'll be doing a bunch of back-tracking, north to bangor and south to Frankfort.

Hopefully this mapquest link will work for directions and map. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Auburn&1s=ME&2c=Frankfort&2s =ME
I did it from Auburn to Frankfort.

Take exit 174 on the interstate to route 69 toward Carmel/Winterport. Drive several miles toward Winterport til you come to Route 1A or South Main st. Go a couple (?) miles past Winterport Furniture on your right and down a hill with junk cars on either side of the road (welcome to Maine) and over a small bridge. The road will take a 90 degree turn to the left here and you will go by the Family Country Market and the church is just past that on the same side of the street. It shares a parking lot with the Post Office.

It would be VERY hard to miss, trust me! LOL

Frankfort is the town between Prospect and Winterport (halfway between Bangor and Belfast) and right across the river from Bucksport.

I am so EXCITED! I can hardly believe this is finally happening after so many years and so much work. I grew up going to church (Baptist) and felt a call to the ministry from the time I was a very little girl. But then the 60'**** and when I graduated from high school I moved to SanFrancisco and I lived quite the life...nothing terribly bad, (I guess that's relative!) but certainly loose and free. I didn't go back to church until my 30's and my son was born, but by that time I KNEW I wasn't good enough to be a minister! LOL When I left Boston in 2001, I had no idea what was coming next for me but I took the time and space to let God speak in my life. When I started seminary full time in the fall of 2002, I had no intention of going into parish ministry...as a matter of fact I denied it loudly and clearly whenever anyone asked. Seemd too presumptous. But I knew I was being called to learn and grow and discern what God wanted for my life. So now here I am 6 years later after serving Frankfort Church as their pastor and teacher for nearly 3 and 1/2 years, and more papers and reading that I ever would have thought I was capable of, and I know that I know that I know that this is who God called me to be all along. And all the years in between helped prepare me to minister to others. I am still not "good enough" to be a minister...but then, none of us are without the Grace of God and that is the only reason it is possible. Ok...I will step out of the pulpit for now. LOL

I can't wait to meet you, Cheryl, either and to see all the rest of you who are honoring me by your participation in this amazing event in my life...aside from the birth of my son, the MOST amazing event I could ever imagine. Thank you all!
I am well and truly blessed.
