Sorry dearies, I have been so distracted by my "internal inguries" LOL, that I completely forgot to update you on my appointments yesterday. I will make a list.

1) Amanda. Pleased with everything except my level of exercise but not negative about that at all. Very encouraging & supportive. I am still below the curve in regard to the % I should have lost at this point in time. I am at 11% loss of my excess weight and should be between 15-20%. You may rmeember that at my 2 week post op visit I was at 6% and should have been at 10%. Oh well. Its probably the limited exercise I do and that will come. As I said in this forum a few days ago, I am happy with 3-4 pounds a week.

2) Dr Huang is so darn matter of fact. No bedside manner at all. Checked my stitches and said the infection is minor (still there) and will work itself out if I stop poking at it. LOL Story of my life. I am such a picker! I asked him why I could eat a cup of food when others could only eat half that or less. Said he makes the pouch the same size in everyone and I should stop before I am satisfied...at the half cup mark. I said if I could have done that, I wouldn't have needed the surgery. he didn't like that much, but really!!! I told him I am going to eat the measured protein and add salad to every meal and that should do it. He shook his head.  Offered to do an upper GI to see the size of thew pouch and I said no thank you. As long as I can lose 3 pounds a week and feel satisfied with a cup of food, I am good. Would rather have that then be sick all the time and forced to eat less. he shook his head again, but smiled this time and said I have the right attitude. or maybe I imagined he said that...

3) My PCP was THRILLED! My A1c was 6.1 and my blood pressure was 117/72!!!

My cholesterol went up a little (the LDL was about 120 up from 78) but the overall cholesterol was good 176. She is keeping me off the lipitor until my 6 month check up and see what the blood work says after I have lost substantially more weight. I'll see what my new docs in Michigan say, I guess.

I went to Rite Aid and bought out their hemorrhoid section...benefiber, suppositories, stool softener...you name it. Today is not going to happen to me again! Uh, uh. Nope! I plan to be a loosey goosey here on in. Can I hear a HONK, ladies??/ Honk! Honk! Honk!

Love ya! xxoo

I glad your appointments went OK and the lower plumbing problem wasn't serious. Nope, I wouldn't want the upper Gi series either.

Terri, I have a former WW buddy who used a 1/2 cup container and limited herself to that for meals. If it didn't fit in the container it was too much.

Honking atc'h

Terri, I think your doing wonderful.  If I learned anything from this whole process, is dont' compare yourself to anyone else. as hard as it may be, take it from me.  It is VERY hard, we all could make a list of what makes us different.  and Terri, I too, can come up with a long list of why I dont walk daily.  Dr. Loggins told me at my pre op appt. not to hang out with all you RNY girls,  but no, stubborn me, did anyway,  That is why about a month ago I took a break to see if it would make a difference.  ( I miss you all too much)  I think the support outweighted the jealousy.  oh, and now Terri, I'm jealous of you.  You little ****! your doing great.  I am so excited for you and can't wait to see you drop in sizes in the next few month.  Keep up the great work.  Many Many Hugs and Honks.....
