Where I am at in my journey

Well I am officially unemployed now but have been offered a job at Walgreens and I will probably take it. I am not taking their insurance as they exclude Bariatric surgery. My dh put me on his as of Nov 1st and I am covered by my current until Oct 31st. I have a ton of appts this week. I go to a nutrition class on Monday so I can get an appt with the nut. I am having my ekg while I am down there as it is a walk in. Wednesday I am having an appt with the pulmonologist and abg's drawn. Thursday I am having a chest xray, venous xray and ruq u/s. I have an appt for the psych eval I think on Oct 9th and an appt with the gastro on Oct 31st that I am going to try to get before that. They just set it up on Friday and they offered dh a couple other times earlier in the month and he picked the 31st as it was a morning but I dont care what time. I hate to cut it so close to my insurance change over. This means I will have everything set up on the list. Of course I will still need the actual sleep study done and maybe a colonoscopy. I am anxious to get going with the nutritionist.

Sounds like you have a VERY busy week ahead of you!  WOW!  It's quite exciting to get all this stuff done and know that you are that much closer to getting a date!!  I'm with you on getting that gastro date moved up....the quicker you get in to see them the quicker they can set up whatever other tests they might need to do!  It's an AMAZING amount of work to get this all coordinated and done...but you can do it!  AND...it'll be SOO worth it!  Keep us posted!

Sounds like things are moving right along - is that going to cause any kind of problem for you with the change of the insurances in the middle of the process?

Wow, you're going to be busy, but it will be worth it. You'll be closer to scheduling a surgery date.

I checked with the new insurance and they cover bariatric surgery with pre-approval. They do not consider it a preexisting condition as I will not have a lapse in coverage.
