WARNING FOOD PORN

I had spent all Monday and Tuesday training at work. On Wedneseday my "in" box and voice mails hadn't been touched for 2 days. I was STRESSED! How am I going to catch up. I started that sinking feeling in my stomach, my brain felt rushed, oh no could this be an anxiety attacK???

Hmmmm.... my co-worker had brought in left over wedding cake from her son's wedding. It "talked" to me all morning. I even lifted the cover and looked.   NO that won't solve my problems... NO,  NO cake- breath, relax, get a hold.

And as our story closes.....................Emily lived happily, anxiety reduced witnout the cake, AND Thursday and Friday morning the scale read below 280!!!!!!! slightly, but under 280

food for comfort-- this is going to be a hard lesson.

No one ever said it would be easy, but oh, so worth it when you look at the big picture.  Good job on controlling yourself, your mind is an amazing thing, not always working in your benifit .  Be Strong,  Have a great Weekend.  Hugs, Cheryl

Emily!!! Way to go...food is not a solution -we find solutions cause we are smart people. THe world and all the cooking shows and commercials make us think we are a piece of wedding cake away from having all our work done, or having a wonderful relationship, or well you fill in the blanks.  It is a lie!! Food fuels us PERIOD. and what a hard lesson to learn, putting food in its proper place is for me the hardest part of this journey.

It was magic when she realized who she had become...
