Good morning Nessa,

I like the idea that anyone who gets here first starts a supportive thread.  It doesn't matter about what just anything you think would be good for a newbie, and pre op or and old timer would be able to relate to what ever topic is posted.  I really don't care for the same old post daily. I think what we need is a jump start and a major change.  What you think?

I dyed my granny grays two days ago at home.  Took the cheap route!   :)
Good luck with your new BF and wishing you all the best for next year.  It's good to post what you are eating so you can be accountable to yourself and it will make you stick to it.  I know how it is to gain those extra pounds ughhh... I am dealing with those over and over and especially now with all the fluids that I have been retaining.  I was told to drink room temp water to help drink more fluids and that it is better us.  So that's what I am doing.  Cold water still hits my pouch in the wrong way. So my goal today is to make it to 100 oz.   Yesterday I only made it to 74 oz So I have a ways to go.  I got a new water bottle that it has it own little filter so whenever I need more water I can just refill from even my bathroom sink.  It should help me with my issue.

I have to do the 5DPT so I can get rid of the carb monster. Since I have been sick sliders have been my best friend.. I know no good!  ughhhhh I swear I have no idea when I will learn.

Also I have been reading up a lot on toxic fat and I think I need to work on getting rid of that and maybe I will feel start feeling better and shedding the unwanted pounds and horrible moods.

Since you can't exercise, can you walk a little bit? The weather is beautiful and walking can help shep the extra pounds.

Good luck with your agenda today and I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Have a fantastic day on purpose and thank you for posting!

Thanks for the welcome !

Welcome to the board.

while I can't speak for others I think it's just better to leave the past in the past and move forward with rebuilding a local support area....

Hello All-

Im a newbie- just had my RNY on 07-25-11- I posted an intro in the RNY group and the mens group so I wont bore you all with it here- but I was hoping that some Maryland folks would be here to talk to- but I guess regional differences dont matter as much as procedure and gender so I wont feel TOO bad that theres not much here- LOL.  But whatever role I can play in helping to spark it back up- Im certainly willing (thats easy for me to say given that, at this point, Id probably be more of a taker than a giver in terms of support- LOL) but never the less, Ill keep checking back and seeing if anythings going on and try to fan the flames.

Just curious- what could possibly have gone on before in terms of drama that would have torn that MARYLAND group asunder ? LOL- I mean was it providers versus providers or ??? I mean I guess I get people fighting over which procedure you had (When I first joined- the DS people used to harass me trying to get me to cancel my RNY date and get a DS and that was kind of annoying)- but o ther than that- what could there possibly be to fight each other about ? Id be interested to hear......

Otherwise- God bless and hope all are well- I look forward to this journey with yall !!

Julie,

This Summer I had zero time for me and it just about killed me. Never again I'll tell you.  So girl as soon as you can give yourself some "me" time be selfish and take advantage of it. :)

I need to get  back on track myself since I haven't been able to walk or exercise. I am working hard on drinking a lot of fluids to flush out all this extra fluids that I have been retaining.

Keep me posted on you getting back on track I will be your cheer leader!

Hugs,

Cira

Good Morning Everyone!!

It's so good to see people trying to revive this board, when I was a newbie almost 5 years ago I don't know what I would have done without the support I found here, I had so many questions and people were here for me.  Now as a old timer...lol we have new sets of issues we still need support for so I am in for anything I can add here, and it's great to see everyone that has been posting!

Good Morning Nessa & Nicole !  I don't care who starts or how & what they post. I am glad to see people here that still care about others. I wish you luck Nessa with all you have on your plate & Nicole don't feel bad about falling off track. I feel off over a years ago and just can't get it back together. I have made myself a promise to get back on track come fall. Back to WW & I plan on joining the gym. If I don't see weight loss or am not happy with the weight loss I plan on seeing a WLS surgeon. Good luck Nicole on getting back on track. I know you can do it.  Have a great day all of you. I would love to have another get together.
