4 MORE FIRES!!!!!

Needless to say, this is WAY out of hand.  For those of you that have been following my updates on the fires in Coatesville, you know how my hometown is under attack by arsonists.  Well, the jackasses have struck again.

Four more fires were set last night and early this morning.  The difference here is that they were actually set on the outskirts of Coatesville, not directly in the city.  There are some very interesting beliefs as to why they have moved to the out limits of the city.  The biggest seems to be that because the Guardian Angels have taken over the city, the arsonists have decided to leave the inner city and move on to areas that aren't as heavily patrolled by police and now, the Angels.  This is a frightening proposition for the local community.  Those that lived in areas they thought were safe, now live in fear as well.  One of the arsons were set less than a mile from my house.  They're getting a little too close for comfort.

My feelings have shifted after last night.  I am no longer scared.  I am now officially PISSED THE F..K OFF!!!  This has affected me in more ways than just fearing for my life.  As some of you know, I get my children every other weekend and very much look forward to that time with them and them with each other.  But I refuse to be selfish.  I will not put them in harms way, which means I will not get them until these ******** are off the streets.  My son and I have had a very in depth discussion about this.  He is quite intelligient for an 8 year old.  My daughter, who lives an hour and a half away, has no idea what's going on.  She's 9 and just thinks daddy is working a lot.  Although I periodically get my son for a few hours here and there (went to the batting cages today), I miss him very much.  My daughter is a whole other story.  I rarely have gotten her lately at all.  In fact, I haven't seen her since Christmas.

Once again, if you could just continue to keep this community in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated.  I'm not even sure if prayer would work here.  These jackasses are obviously feeding off the power of the devil and have no remorse whatsoever in that they've affected so many people.  In fact, they probably are getting their rocks off sitting back and watching this all happen while gaining national notoriety.  It was all over CNN once again today.  Thanks for letting me share.

Hey Andy has anyone called in the ATF agents. I would think that they would be all over this by now. If they haven't been called they should be. I can't think of anyone else that could help other than your mayor asking for the national Guard. I've been praying about this and spreading the news about it. Somebody has to know something or somebody. I will definately keep praying.

Hey Candie,

Yes, the ATF has been involved since they torched the 15 rowhomes last weekend.  From what I understand, everybody who's anybody is on the case - including local, county, state and federal agencies.  We are under a state of emergency and the residents have been begging for the national guard to be brought in.  However, it was explained to us at a town meeting this week that it is up to the Governor (Rendell) to call in the national guard, not the city government.  I don't know what they're waiting for.

The guardian angels did come in during the week, but I found out in today's local newspaper that they are not here to patrol the streets.  They are here to try to get a Coatesville chapter of the guardian angels started.  Also, they're here to try to help form and get the town watch program started.  We've had over 500 people signed up for town watch but the police chief here is an absolute fraud.  He has no idea how to get it off the ground.  Luckily his contract is up in May and there is no way in hell they are going to offer a new contract. He was hired with being properly certified, meaning he can't even make an arrest, nonetheless visit any of the arson scenes to help investigate.  It's a joke.

I'm knocking on wood as I write this, but there were no reported arsons last night.  This was good news because the weekends have been the time of most of the fires.  Maybe they're coming up with new ways to terrorize the city - schools, businesses, etc...  I sure hope not.

Andy,

I agree, this is an outrage. I can only hope that the national attention this situation is getting will put pressure on the authorities. Also, that the power trip these arsonists are on will cause them to make a stupid mistake resulting in their capture. I am most sorry that this situation has impacted you directly with your children. When they are older they will understand what a loving sacrifice you made in keeping them out of harms way.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and Coatesville.
