CHRISTMAS TRIVIA
I joined it to keep in touch with my cousins who are all MUCH younger than I. Then my sister's joined and then someone from high school found me and now I'm back in touch with a ton of folks that I went to high school with 23+ years ago. We were overseas (Morocco) and had lost touch with most of these folks. It's great to see what they've been up to all this time!
What is the last name of the neighbors next door to the Parkers (Randie and Ralphie's family) in "A Christmas Story?"
Hint - they have the hound dogs that come in and eat the Christmas meal the mom worked so hard to prepare. Then they ended up eating Christmas dinner at a Chinese resturant. "Deck the harrs with bows of horry, Fa ra ra ra raaa, ra ra ra ra"

Ralphie and Randy Parker and their parents lived next door to the Bumpuses. "785 smelly hound dogs who disliked every human being except for my old man!!!"
And the Chinese restaurant, where they had "Chinese turkey" was the Chop Suey Palace!!!!
Can you tell it's my 2nd fave movie of all time???? LOL!!!
Thanks, honey!!!

Good work
I figured that was an easy question for a Christmas fanatic like yourself
It's my favorite Christmas movie, hands down! And probably second fav movie of ALL time, like you said.
Oh if the Thanksgiving holiday weekend only extended into this week, too... so I could sit home today in PJs and watch the movie

Yep!!! It was up for auction, someone was going to buy it and tear it down, so a fan bought it and restored it!!! I'd marry that man if I could!!! LOL!!!
And yes, I try to make sure that EVERYTHING is done by 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve so I can watch the first one in its entirety. After that, I just leave it on that channel for the rest of the night and when we gather in the a.m., I turn it on, but mute the sound. Who needs sound, anyway? I can recite just about every line from the movie.
LMAO!!!

Oh you must see "Four Christmases" btw. Great movie, but the most important thing is that Peter Billingsley (Ralphie) is in the movie! He's the ticket guy at the ticket counter where Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoons's characters check in at the airport.
He's the guy in the previews who says the airline is all booked up. Then Vince Vaughn asks if they have any sister airlines... or maybe a cousin airline who their airline has felt up, so they can get another ticket and continue on to their vacation.

I found a little ornament in Hallmark last year of Randy. It's him in his red snowsuit, bundled up to the eyes with the scarf and mittens, etc. So cute!
